Glenview Academy is committed to helping our students gain the skills, confidence, pride and initiative necessary for them to become and to see themselves as worthwhile, contributing members of society. Therefore, our classes address students' social/emotional needs as well as their academic needs.
Supportive and responsive individual, small group and multimodal instruction that uses diagnostic as well as direct teaching techniques are stressed. Materials are evaluated and modified as appropriate for each student, and new strategies are implemented in order to best stimulate and encourage our students to fulfill their potential.
The New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards are incorporated throughout our classes. Within each area, the standards are adapted and modified to address the particular needs of our students.
We share the belief that instruction should go beyond the basic skills to prepare our students for the challenges of the world beyond our walls to learn by problem solving, critical thinking and using technology as a tool in everyday life.
